WIBC BPS Shop Work
Each Wednesday by 5 p.m.., other times as volunteers desire, the shop doors open and work begins. The BPS workshop is located in the building behind our Sanctuary. For the most part, the work from our BPS shop is sent to Mexico, USA, prisons, door-to-door, and the Philippines. We have also completed and shipped scriptures overseas , which cost $700 to ship the container of a pallet of 45 boxes, in addition to other fees for customs.

Bearing Precious Seed is a Scriptural activity of the local church, which is rooted in the Great Commission and is defined in Romans 16: 25-26.
In 1987, under the leadership of Rev. James A. McWhorter, WIBC became involved in the BPS Work. Our church obtains signatures, which are printed John & Romans (Spanish and bi-lingual) from either Lansing, MI or Milton, FL. These arrive at our BPS shop, where volunteers assemble, staple, trim and box them for sending out to the mission field.
Our ministry is to get the gospel out to a lost and dying world and we believe that the Word of God should be given freely to anyone who will receive it.
“Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” Proverbs 23:23
The John & Romans booklets cost about .12-.15¢ each to make and ship. The signatures themselves cost .07¢ each to print, with additional costs for the covers, boxes and transporting from Michigan or Florida to our BPS workshop. There is no labor cost for producing the Scripture because it’s a labor of love. Our desire is to get every church member involved in bearing the “Precious Seed”; involvement can occur through physical labor, monetary donations, or other means.
During the last quarter of 2014, we shipped 35 cases (8,750) of Spanish John & Romans to various local and statewide ministries and some into Mexico. We also shipped 31 cases (9,300) of English illustrated books of John, some of which were going into a container to be shipped to St. Lucia for a conference in March. We also have another 59 cases (14,750 ea) of Spanish John and Romans on the shelf waiting for distribution. This brings our grand total of scriptures that were shipped in 2014 to 89,350. Praise the Lord! This would have been difficult without the faithful prayers and support of other ministries, churches and individuals.
