Missions have always been an important part of WIBC, we started out as a mission and God has laid a burden on this congregation’s heart to fulfill the Great Commission. WIBC has reached out to both our community and many missionaries over these years, typically supporting on average 30-35 missionaries or other outreach activities monthly. We operate a Bearing Precious Seed (BPS) workshop, where volunteers assemble Spanish, English and bi-lingual John and Romans for distribution. We are a mission-minded church and, in addition to individual offerings for outreach and missions, 20% of the monthly general funds are committed to the mission account, to help spread the Gospel to a lost and dying world.
Missions we currently support:
- Victory Baptist Press: It has been estimated that nearly 60% of the languages of the world are without the written Word. It is Victory Baptist Press’ desire and burden to help correct that problem; they’re dedicated to printing and distributing the Word of God.
- International Board of Jewish Missions: Since 1949, International Board of Jewish Missions (IBJM) has been reaching out to God’s chosen people, the Jews, with the Good News of Messiah – the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Wildwood Baptist, BPS Church BPS: Bearing Precious Seed assembly & distribution of the scriptures.
- Red River Valley Baptist Bible Fellowship
- Wings As Eagles: Wings As Eagles provides humanitarian outreach as a nonprofit aviation ministry, reaching into Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean area. Their pilots are all highly qualified, trained, and experienced
- Living Alternatives: Living Alternatives is a pregnancy resource center
- Bro. Trinidad Garza: BPS Scripture transportation work; transports scripture to Mexico and Columbia
